HVAC accreditations | Arctic Cooling

See HVAC accreditations Arctic Cooling holds — F-Gas, NICEIC, SafeContractor, Constructionline Gold, Daikin D1 — plus airside clearance in our own name.

Our HVAC accreditations, approved and independently checked

Our HVAC accreditations aren’t badges for the sake of it. Each one is checked by an outside body, and each one tells you something specific about how we work and what we’re cleared to do. When you’re handing a building over to a contractor, that’s the difference between taking our word for it and seeing it verified. Here’s what we hold and what each one actually means for you.

What we hold

F-Gas certified

As an F-Gas certified contractor, we’re cleared to handle, recover and log refrigerant to the legal standard. Anyone working on air conditioning or refrigeration systems that contain fluorinated gases has to be F-Gas certified — it’s a legal requirement, not a nice-to-have. It means the refrigerant side of your air conditioning installation and service is done and recorded properly, with the paperwork to prove it. Certifying body and certificate number:

SafeContractor approved

SafeContractor is an independent assessment of our health and safety management. An assessor reviews our policies, risk assessments, method statements and records, then approves us against the scheme’s standard. It’s reassessed every year rather than granted once and filed away, so the standard has to be kept up, not just hit on the day of the audit. For a facilities manager or main contractor, it’s a shortcut through your own supply-chain checks — the health and safety due diligence has already been done by a third party.

Constructionline Gold

Constructionline is the pre-qualification database most public bodies and larger private clients use to vet suppliers before they’ll let them tender. Gold is the higher tier: it covers the standard company, insurance and financial checks, plus SSIP health and safety verification and additional assessment across areas like environmental management and equality. If your procurement process runs through Constructionline, we’re already pre-qualified to the Gold standard, so we clear that gate before the conversation even starts.

NICEIC Approved Contractor

Our electrical work is assessed against the national standard. As a NICEIC Approved Contractor on the commercial side, our installations are inspected by NICEIC to confirm they meet BS 7671, and we can self-certify and issue the correct certification for the work we carry out. It matters because we self-deliver our electrical trade in-house rather than subcontracting it — read more on our electrical services page.

Daikin D1

D1 is Daikin’s top installer tier. To hold it you have to demonstrate the training, install quality and volume Daikin require, and it isn’t handed out lightly. The practical benefit to you: on Daikin equipment we install, we can offer extended manufacturer warranties that a general installer can’t. That’s longer cover on the kit, backed by the manufacturer rather than just by us.

Mitsubishi approved partner

We’re a Mitsubishi approved partner, which gives us direct manufacturer support, training and access on Mitsubishi Electric systems. In practice, that means the engineer on your system has been trained on it directly by the manufacturer, not just familiar with it from general site experience. Between Daikin and Mitsubishi, we cover the two equipment ranges you’re most likely to be specifying or already running, with a proper manufacturer relationship behind both.

Airside clearance, held in our own name

On top of the trade accreditations, we hold airside signatory status, airside driving permits and engineer passes at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted. All of it sits directly in Arctic Cooling’s own name — not borrowed through a third party or hired in for a single job. Airside is one of the most heavily controlled working environments in the country. If we can survey, install and maintain HVAC on a live airfield, at a live airport, we can deliver in your building. It’s the clearest proof we can give that our systems, our people and our paperwork stand up to outside scrutiny. There’s more detail on our working airside page.

What this means for you

These accreditations travel with us across sectors. Whether we’re on an aviation contract, in a data centre, on a logistics site, in a hotel, on a healthcare site or in a commercial office, the paperwork a procurement team asks for doesn’t change because the building does. Put together, they do three things for a buyer.

They de-risk the decision.

The health and safety, financial and technical checks you’d normally run on a new contractor have already been done by independent bodies. You’re not relying on our sales pitch.

They make us tender-ready.

Constructionline Gold, SafeContractor and NICEIC clear most procurement gates before you have to ask. Less back-and-forth chasing certificates, more time on the actual job.

They're warranty-backed.

Daikin D1 and our Mitsubishi partnership mean the equipment we install carries proper manufacturer cover, so the protection outlasts the install.

We keep every certificate current and can supply copies for your records or your pre-qualification file on request. You can read more about how we’re set up as a single accountable contractor across all seven trades on our about page. When you’re ready, call us on or email and we’ll send across whatever your procurement team needs.
