Commercial air conditioning Heathrow | Arctic Cooling

We provide commercial HVAC and full mechanical and electrical services across Heathrow, West London and the M4 corridor, generally within a 20-mile radius of Heathrow.

Commercial air conditioning across Heathrow, West London and the M4 corridor.

We’re a commercial air conditioning and M&E contractor based around Heathrow, working across Heathrow, West London and the M4 corridor. If you need commercial air conditioning in Heathrow, or any of our other six trades, we’re already on the doorstep of most of the region’s biggest sites. Our engineers are cleared to work airside at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, with signatory status, airside driving permits and passes held directly in Arctic Cooling’s own name. The point is simple: if we can deliver at a live airport under that level of scrutiny, we can deliver in your building.

We self-deliver all seven of our trades in-house, so wherever you are in our coverage, one accountable contractor handles the job from survey to sign-off. No blame-chain between separate firms. You can read more about what that covers on our services page.

Our core area covers Heathrow, West London and the Thames Valley

Our base sits right next to Heathrow, so West London and the Thames Valley are our home turf. This is where we’re quickest to respond and where most of our work already is.
The core patch runs across:

Heathrow, Longford and West Drayton

Hounslow, Uxbridge and the surrounding West London boroughs

Slough, Staines and the Thames Valley towns

The M4 and M25 corridor either side of the airport

Hounslow

Slough

Staines

Uxbridge and the M4 / M25 corridor

For a facilities manager, that closeness helps twice over. Response times are quicker because we’re not travelling far to reach you. And our engineers already know the sites, the access routes and the rules for the busiest patch of the M4/M25 corridor, so a new contract starts without a settling-in period.

Being this close to the airport shapes how we work everywhere else. As an airside-cleared HVAC contractor at Heathrow, we’ve built our engineering and paperwork around some of the most demanding site access in the country, and that discipline comes with us to every job, airside or not.

Wider coverage across Heathrow, West London and the M4 corridor.

Beyond the core area, we work right across Greater London and out into the wider West London . Our airside status at Gatwick and Stansted means that reach isn’t a claim on a map. We’re already established in Surrey, Sussex and Essex through the work those airports take us to.

That airside work covers more than one job type. We deliver the cooling for Hold Baggage Screening systems, and we repair Pre-Conditioned Air units, the equipment that feeds conditioned air to parked aircraft. Both run to tight operational windows inside a live, secure airport. That’s the standard our engineers bring to every site in Surrey, Sussex and Essex too.

So the pattern looks like this. Nearest to us: West London and the Thames Valley. Then Greater London as a whole. Then the wider West London, including the corridors down to Gatwick and across to Stansted. With approaching 40 engineers and nearly a decade of trading since 2016, we’ve got the numbers to cover that ground properly rather than stretching a small team thin.

How to think about coverage

The honest answer to “do you cover my area?” is usually yes. If your site is in or across Heathrow, West London and the M4 corridor, we can reach you. Rather than list every town, it’s quicker to tell us where you are and what you need. We’ll tell you straight whether it’s a job we can service well from where we’re based, and how fast we can get to you.

Response times matter more than distance for most facilities managers. We offer same-day reactive call-out for all clients, with faster response and up to 24/7 cover available to clients on a maintenance contract. Where you sit within our coverage feeds into how we plan that response, which is another reason it helps to have the conversation early.

Who we work with across the region

Our coverage lines up with the sectors we work in most: aviation and airports, data centres, logistics and warehousing, hotels and hospitality, healthcare, and commercial offices. Clients across the region include British Airways, CBRE, American Airlines, Fortnum & Mason, Heathrow and WHSmith. You can see how that experience maps to your building on our sectors page.
Working across that many sites and sectors means procurement teams need to trust our paperwork as much as our engineering. We hold SafeContractor approval, Constructionline Gold and NICEIC Approved Contractor status for commercial electrical work, alongside Daikin D1 status, Daikin’s highest installer tier, and Mitsubishi approved partner status. Whichever part of our coverage you’re in, the same accreditations and the same F-Gas certified engineers turn up on site.

Tell us where you are

Give us your postcode and a line on what you need, whether it’s a new install, a reactive breakdown or a maintenance contract, and we’ll confirm coverage and response times. Get in touch through our contact page and we’ll come back to you.

Frequently asked questions

Does a contractor need special clearance to work at an airport or secure site?
Yes. Airports and other secure sites require vetting, passes and, for airside work, signatory status and driving permits. Arctic Cooling holds airside clearance at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted directly in the company’s own name, including airside driving permits and engineer passes, rather than borrowing access through a third party. That same discipline applies to any restricted or high-security site we work on.
For most commercial buildings, one accountable contractor is simpler and lower-risk. We self-deliver all seven of our trades in-house, from air conditioning and refrigeration through to electrical and mechanical, so there’s no gap between firms where responsibility gets lost. One survey, one team, one point of contact from start to sign-off.
We offer same-day reactive call-out to all clients across our coverage area. Clients on a maintenance contract get faster response and up to 24/7 cover as part of the agreement. Because we’re based around Heathrow, response times across West London and the Thames Valley are particularly quick.
Look for trade certification plus recognised approval schemes. We’re F-Gas certified for refrigerant work, NICEIC Approved Contractor for commercial electrical, SafeContractor approved and Constructionline Gold registered. We’re also a Daikin D1 installer, Daikin’s highest tier, which allows extended manufacturer warranties on their equipment, and a Mitsubishi approved partner.
