Hotel Air Conditioning & HVAC | Arctic Cooling

Hotel air conditioning, refrigeration and kitchen ventilation across Heathrow, West London and the M4 corridor. One in-house contractor, work planned around your guests.

Hotel air conditioning and hospitality HVAC

Guests notice the comfort. They never notice the plant behind it, until the day it fails and the complaints start. A warm room on a full night, a walk-in fridge that’s drifting up in temperature, an extraction system that leaves the kitchen unworkable during service. We keep the equipment out of your guests’ way and out of their minds.

Arctic Cooling looks after hotel air conditioning, refrigeration, kitchen ventilation and catering equipment for hotels, restaurants and bars across Heathrow, West London and the M4 corridor. We plan the work around your guests and your covers, not around ours. Because our own engineers cover every one of these trades, a hotel deals with one team rather than four separate firms passing the problem between them.

What we cover

Different parts of a hotel need different systems, and the kit that suits a guest room is not the kit that suits a kitchen or a bar cellar. We install, service and repair across all of it.

Guest rooms and front of house

Quiet, individually controlled cooling and heating in bedrooms, suites, lobbies, function rooms and restaurants. Guest comfort is the whole point, so noise, discreet unit placement and even temperatures matter as much as the cooling load. We’re a Daikin D1 partner, Daikin’s highest installer tier, which extends manufacturer warranty cover on Daikin systems, and a Mitsubishi approved partner too. See our air conditioning work for how we specify and install for occupied buildings.

Kitchens, refrigeration and catering

Commercial kitchens run hard and fail expensively. We handle walk-in cold rooms, fridges and freezers, blast chillers and the display and prep refrigeration behind the bar and the pass. Hospitality refrigeration only earns its keep when it holds temperature reliably and safely, so we treat it as food-safety plant. We also look after kitchen extraction and make-up air, and the catering equipment itself. Our refrigeration team covers the cold side end to end.

Cellar cooling

Beer and wine cellars have to hold a tight, steady temperature or the stock suffers. We install and maintain dedicated cellar cooling that keeps product in condition without fighting the rest of the building’s systems.

Planned maintenance and reactive cover

Most hospitality faults are avoidable with a proper service schedule. Our planned maintenance keeps guest-room air conditioning, kitchen refrigeration and ventilation running through your busiest periods and catches the small faults before they become a failed fridge on a Saturday night. When something does go wrong, every client gets same-day reactive call-out, and maintenance-contract clients get faster response and up to 24/7 cover.

One contractor, less disruption

The real worry for a hotel isn’t the equipment. It’s the disruption of getting it fixed: engineers in corridors, rooms out of service, kitchens down during prep, work that overruns into the evening. Splitting the job across an air conditioning firm, a refrigeration firm, a ventilation firm and a catering engineer multiplies that disruption and creates a blame chain when something falls between them.
We cover all of it in-house, so there’s one team on site, one point of contact and one company accountable from survey to sign-off. That team can work out of hours, floor by floor, so bedrooms come back into service quickly and bookings aren’t lost. On a live estate, the difference between one coordinated contractor and four separate ones is measured in rooms sold and covers served.

Arctic Cooling is a commercial mechanical and electrical contractor based around Heathrow, with approaching 40 engineers and nearly a decade of trading. We’re cleared to work airside at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, which is about as unforgiving as building work gets for access, security and doing the job without stopping the operation. If we can deliver airside at a live airport, we can deliver in your hotel. We’re F-Gas certified, SafeContractor approved, Constructionline Gold and NICEIC Approved Contractor, and we count British Airways, CBRE, Fortnum & Mason and WHSmith among our clients.

Hotel groups and multi-site estates

If you’re responsible for more than one property, the case for one contractor gets stronger. A single point of contact who already knows your kit, your access routines and your busy periods across every site cuts down on repeat surveys, repeat inductions and repeat explanations of what’s already been fixed once. We can run planned maintenance across a group of hotels with the same team and the same standards at every site, and reactive cover that doesn’t depend on which property answers the phone first.

Talk to us about your hotel

Whether it’s a single failing system, a full refit or a maintenance contract across a group of sites, we’ll survey the building and give you a straight answer on what it needs. Call or email to arrange a visit.

Frequently asked questions

What air conditioning system is best for hotel guest rooms versus restaurants, bars and kitchens?
Guest rooms suit quiet, individually controlled units that hold an even temperature without disturbing sleep, so unit placement and noise drive the specification. Restaurants and bars carry higher, more variable heat loads from people and equipment, and kitchens need extraction and make-up air rather than comfort cooling alone. We specify each area for its actual load, then run it all as one system so nothing fights anything else.
Yes. We plan the work around your occupancy, working out of hours and floor by floor so rooms come back into service quickly. Because our own engineers cover air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and catering, there’s one coordinated team on site rather than several firms taking turns, which keeps the disruption and the number of rooms out of service to a minimum.
Yes. We handle walk-in cold rooms, fridges, freezers and bar refrigeration, kitchen extraction and make-up air, cellar cooling and the catering equipment itself, alongside guest-room and front-of-house air conditioning. It’s all delivered by our own in-house trades, so a hotel deals with one contractor and one point of accountability across the lot.
Every client gets same-day reactive call-out. Clients on a maintenance contract get faster response and up to 24/7 cover, which matters most for kitchen refrigeration and cellar cooling where a failure puts stock and food safety at risk. A planned maintenance schedule is the surest way to avoid these failures in the first place.
